Suspect: 1.Leonard T. Figgins (2-13-90)-City of Tomah
Charges: Department of Corrections warrant

Possession of Cocaine
Summary of Incident:
On 6-5-08 the Tomah Police Department stopped a vehicle because a passenger in the vehicle was known to have a warrant from the Department of Corrections. The stop of the vehicle occurred on N. Glendale Avenue near Arthur Street in the City of Tomah.
Upon stopping the vehicle a passenger in the vehicle exited. The passenger, Leonard Figgins of Tomah, fled on foot from the officers attempting to arrest him on the warrant. Officers pursued Leonard Figgins on foot and apprehended him several blocks from the vehicle. Leonard Figgins was arrested on the warrant, obstructing an officer and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Dustin D. Pinkins. Pinkins was in possession of 7 grams of crack cocaine when contacted by the police. Pinkins was arrested for possession with intent to deliver cocaine and possession of cocaine.
Figgins and Pinkins were transported to the Monroe County Jail and held pending a bond hearing on 6-6-08.
Both Figgins and Pinkins also face enhanced penalties for possession of the cocaine with intent to deliver the drug within 1000 feet of a school related to this incident. Figgins was convicted in February of 2008 for possession with intent to deliver cocaine in Monroe County Circuit Court.
