Summary of Incident:
On 8-26-09 at 2:47AM Officers from the Tomah Police Department responded
602 Williams St. for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival Officers
located a white truck parked in the alley that was engulfed in flames.
Officers began to canvass the area and located evidence that led them to
an address 2-3 blocks from the suspected arson scene. Officers contacted
a 17-year-old male subject who subsequently confessed to intentionally
starting the vehicle on fire. The suspect was identified as Justin T.
Korner of Tomah. Korner was taken into custody and transported to the
Monroe County Jail on charges of Arson and Criminal Damage to Property.
The Tomah Police Department received assistance from the Tomah Fire
Department and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
This case remains under investigation.
